Join the Eastside Action Rotary Club Winter Donation Drive: Help Spread The Love

As the cold winds of winter are here, many in our community are struggling in the harsh reality of freezing temperatures without the proper clothing or shelter. The items collected will help Volunteer Services in King County.

Volunteer Services. is a program of Catholic Community Services. A Washington state-wide program, started as a safety net for older adults and adults with disabilities.

Let’s work together to bring warmth and hope to those who need it most. Join us as we spread the warmth this February! 

This month, we’ll be collecting essential winter items, non-perishable food, hygiene items or financial contribution.  

Below is a list of items and suggestions to bring to the February 13 meeting

How You Can Help

• Donate Warm Weather Supplies  – Gently used, clean or new items are appreciated.
  • Socks are one of the most important clothing item(s)
  • Hand and foot warmers are highly recommended
  • Blankets are important as well
  • Shoes – mostly men sizes
  • Jackets
  • Sweaters
  • Scarfs, gloves, mittens, hats, and thermal wear, etc of all sizes are important to provide
    • Men clothing is a priority yet female and kids items are needed too.  Kid sizes usually range from 8 to 14 year olds

• Give Non-Perishable Food – Help fill food pantries during the winter months with non expired food items.
  • Cans of Chili are one of the most important food necessities
  • Soups
  • Grab and go items such as protein bars, trail mix, nuts, drinks, etc
  • Foods that can help feed 40-50 people in one meal…i.e., noodles or rice and sauces, with cans of tuna, chicken, or salmon
  • Other

• Provide Hygiene Items  –  Always in need to give guests.
  • Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
  • Men’s Deodorant
  • Shaving Cream
  • Body Wipes
  • Hand Sanitizers
  • Unscented Lotions (hands, body and/or face)
  • Chap Sticks
  • QTips
  • Aid supplies, such as Bandaids, Antibiotic Ointment, etc
  • Other

• Contribute Financially – Money is always welcome!
  • Monetary donations allow us to purchase new items from winter gear to hygiene products and food for those in need.

• Feb 13 – Our first donation collection will be at our February meeting from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Compass Real Estate, The Shops At The Bravern, located at 700 110th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004.
