DITCH AND SWITCH: HEALTHY SPRING CLEANING TIPS
Our guest speaker is, Tanea Stephens, a mom on a mission to amplify the lesser-known story of harmful chemicals lurking in everyday products and offer guidance on how people can ditch & switch to healthier products. Best available science tells us there are direct links between unregulated, harmful chemicals and chronic diseases. Such studies are gaining exposure in the world, but far too often switch alternatives are not mentioned and people are left feeling helpless. Tanea has culled hundreds of toxic products from her home over the past 19 years (when she became pregnant with her daughter Bella). She’s created a passion project in “Decrease Your Toxins” to share what she’s learned so that people can feel like they have more control over their health outcomes.
Tanea offers curated Ditch & Switch product consultations and recommendations based on products vetted and tried by her and chosen for her family. She dives deep into the science and spends time and money trying healthier alternatives that work just well or better than the toxic versions, so others don’t have to.
She is excited to share her top tips on Healthy Spring Cleaning. Tanea will bring 2 groups of show-n-tell cleaning supplies (the Ditches: labeled with frowning red stickers and ingredients of concern and linked health effects; and the Switches: labeled with smiling green stickers and product performance notes). She will also bring a cleaning-focused bingo game and a raffle gift.
